Company History
Established in 1976 during a departure of institutions in Montana to provide in-home family services to children with developmental disabilities, family support services expanded into a multi-county area and additional funding from the Coal Board supported the develpment of in-home services on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Services expanded to include the addition of a group home and an evaluation and diagnosis service involving a multi-disciplinary team. DEAP also responded to a vital need in the community to provide home based services to families whose children were at risk of abuse and neglect. DEAP also provides respite services and crisis care services giving families relief from the stressful situation. In 1996 DEAP began to administer the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program. In 2000, DEAP began community supports services.
