Company History
United Properties, Inc. has a rich history dating back to the early 1930s, when Malcolm G. Long relocated to Billings from Maine.
As an engineer, entrepreneur, and visionary, Malcolm’s ventures flourished over forty years across Montana and northern Wyoming. In the 1980s, his son, Joel Twining Long, further diversified the family enterprise into commercial real estate. The Long – Foster – Studer families have left an enduring mark by championing education, culture, and the arts in Billings and across Montana—a tradition they proudly continue to uphold today.
