Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Foundation Director position, responsible for generating financial resources, including grant writing and cultivation of major gifts. The director works with a development coordinator and manages events, capital campaigns and an employee donor program. Must be knowledgeable of donor database software systems.  The Director of Foundation receives principal direction and performance management from the Bitterroot Health Foundation Board of Directors with management oversight from the Bitterroot Health CFO.  

Hamilton (pop 5,000) is the economic center of Ravalli County (pop 47,000) in Montana’s beautiful Bitterroot River Valley, where the series “Yellowstone” is filmed. Bitterroot Health is comprised of Daly Hospital and 14 local and specialty clinics throughout the valley, with over 900 employees. The valley and hospital system are growing and thriving economically. The hospital provides 100% of operational support for the foundation, so no annual campaign is required. Bitterroot Health is seeking a director with the experience to take the foundation to the next level to cultivate 20-25 majors donors and write multiple grants.

This position is salaried/exempt as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act. 

Salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  

        Education:  college degree required, bachelors or greater preferred. 

        Experience:  Minimum of three years fundraising experience in the activities cited above in position summary.
